Vokes, Barnes and Ings all start... I hope he plays Ings just behind Vokes and Barnes necause this could be very exciting. Duff back for Keane, but I don't know why.

Defence is looking better, possibly opur strongest 11 a, part from Marney here, need to be more accurate with the passing, giving the ball away too much, otherwise not too bad, nobody giving up that's for sure.

Well Ings isn't behind Vokes and Barnes which negates having the three forwards on when Barnes is on the left in midfield. You might as well as have Wallace out wide. Having said that a tight first half with both sides waiting for the other to be gentlemen and give the ball back, and of course they both regularly obliged. I thought Mee, Jones and Arfield did well, Boyd ran and ran, Duff looked as though he had never missed a game and Shackell, outstanding in defence, as usual hardly played the ball forward. Few chances and we need to make more if we are to score in the next 45 minutes against this mid-table(?) opposition. It would help if Tripps crossed into the box rather than into an opposition player.

Excellent 3 points, well fought Clarets, Duff made such a difference to the defence, all played well though, they worked tirelessly, thoroughly deserved it.

Thought he did really well tonight,played like the good un he is..

Thought the entire midfield was incredible, Arfield impressed as did Jones. Vokes brilliant, Ings awesome but frustrating at times with poor choices. Such skill, though.

Dyche's bravery paid off and good luck to him.

Even as optimistic as I am, I wasn't expecting that! Bloody marvelous performance.

Some folks might think Duff is old and slow, but what a performance today. I don't see that back 5 changing for the run in.

Airfield looked good today and Boyd was unreal.

Vokes looks like he's back, Barnes ran his socks off, if anyone was a little below par today, it was Ings. I think that bodes well for the run in also, imagine what we can do when he hits form.

Anyone else feeling a little more optimistic now? especially as Gus has lost the plot, Nigel is in full melt down and QPR are downright awful.

Player Ratings:

Heaton 10. Unflappable, decisive. Every inch a Premiership keeper. We need to extend his contract.
Trippier 8. Sound, distribution not as great as normal.
Duff 10. A pity he's not ten years younger!
Shackell 9. Captain Fantastic. Now just needs to pass the ball forwards.
Mee. 9. It would be a travesty if he loses his place to a fit Ward. His guts and reading of the game are outstanding although he was very lucky not to give away a penalty at the death.
Boyd. 9. Exceptional, how long will his legs last?
Jones. 9. Mr reliable.
Arfield. 10. I haven't seen his poor performances but he looked very impressive last night always probing and looking to create opportunities for others.
Barnes. 10. My MOM. He was playing out of position, obeyed the Gaffer's instructions to the letter and did a first rate job.
Ings. 7. Disappointing considering his talents. He gave the ball away too often when in the last quarter we should have added to the score. Maybe he was trying too hard.
Vokes. 9. 10 out of 10 for effort and playing like an old fashioned centre forward.
Mr Dyche 10. If only for his reaction when we scored! The Board cannot afford to lose this giant among English born and bred managers.

Finally, Man City play Barcelona next. No doubt a few of them will be thinking Thank God its Barcelona not Burnley!

But of an extra touch from the weekend - kept getting emails from totesport saying I'd not logged in etc and had £15 in my account - think it was a free bet thing.

As most of you know I don't gamble much but logged in and just backed us to beat city - £112.50 little bonus for me 😄

So accidental BC that I'd forgotten until this morning at work - long story short we wanted to attempt what is known as a quasi cash card transaction, which gambling is, and voila, suddenly realised I'd won.

So as I say I'm now thinking £60.00 on the next match and so it goes - so basically 30 on match after then back to £15.00 - oh well I won't miss what I never had - not even sure how I ended up with £15 in the account, was probably another work related test last year.

Hope... indeed... anyone seen Hull's horrendous last 9 games

Aye, they only have one 'easy' game Dave, and that's against us. Both Hull and Sunderland well within reach now, what a difference that one win has made.

We must be a nightmare to play against, not the most gifted squad but never giving the opposition a moment. Reinvigorated for the fight now, and fight we will.

I don't think anybody ever questioned that this team would scrap to the death - some of us just felt the club could have done just a touch more to support their unquestioned desire and will.

That said, this one win does keep using the hunt for survival.

Don't know about that Alfie, I just live in the moment, last week I couldn't see us surviving, but that was then and this is now, and in-between we've taken three points off City. Whole new ball game now.

Keeps us in the hunt for survival? Very much so, were one point from safety with nine games to play. Like I said to people after we lost to Swansea and were "down", despite then being one point from safety with eleven games to go.

Indeed MH (yes it should have said keep us in the hunt, no idea where the using came from) - but had we got what was generally expected (i.e. nothing)n the picture wouldn't look quite as good.

I guess in the end if you can't have a promotion/Championship chase or a cup run then in terms of interest and excitement a relegation battle is the next best thing - certainly better than mid table mediocrity and boredom
