Only one word to sum up the first half - subdued. The effort is there but the spark isn't. Perhaps it would have been different if Danny Ings hadn't missed a golden opportunity after 5 minutes. Thank goodness Heaton is alert. For the second half Burnley need eleven lerts!

Spurs are there for the taking here, if we can't get 3 points from this today then there really is no hope for us.

There seems to be no spark from the crowd either, very disa[ppointing in the atmosphere anmd lack of drive from the team, do we want to stay up or not?

I'm surprised that you mention lack of atmosphere FC, maybe it was the Sky sound men turning down the volume, but on Turf Moor the backing for the team was as loud as it's ever been, no lack of support from the fans despite a game to send anyone to sleep.

First half came across extremely quiet second half was louder but like you say BC it could have been the sky volume

Our 3-0 home win was one of the easiest games of the season (other than the Villa games home and away), and I really fancy us to administer a similar, or even more painful spanking this time around. Remember, we're NOT Tottenham.

Arsenal having a half decent season is great news for the big clubs in England.

Meanwhile I thought the Spurs game was like a good bonk... started slowly, gradually increasing in tempo, excitement slowly mounting and with a near miss at the end that could so easily have gone in.
Didn't quite understand why the media found it such a dreadful game at all. It was thoroughly absorbing.

Arsenal may well win, hell on paper they bloody ought to... but so thought several other top teams.

And Salty... Arsenal traditionally do not do well at Turf Moor. Just one of those inexplicable footie things... hmmm think on that.

Boredom Dave, passes on a bit of time waiting for some decent horse racing to have a look at. I know I shouldn't, I should be sympathetic and indulge him, an Arsenal fan who feels the need to big his club up on a BFC msgboard, pitiful really isn't it. I shall take your sage (as always) advice and ignore the clown from now on, leaving him to ponder why Arsenal are now coming to the end of their 11th consecutive season of failure, while we have achieved our aim in 2 out of the last 6 seasons and if we stay up will have been successful in 3 out of the last 7. That would probably make us the most successful club in the country over the last 7 seasons, has any club achieved it's main aim more than 3 times in that period, I doubt it, not even Chelsea.

No wonder BFC gets under his skin a little bit, must be very frustrating being an Arsenal fan, shiny new stadium, top manager, world class players, money coming out of their ears, and all they have to show for it in the last ten years is one Cup win, that Cup that mighty Wiggin won the year before, and they only managed to scrape past Hull by one goal to win that, that's the same Hull City who we've beaten EIGHT times in the 9 games we've played against them since 2010. They haven't won the League Cup for 22 years, a competition we dumped them out of a few years back as I recall, and nothing in Europe since 1994, where they're currently a laughing stock in Monaco (average gate 7,900).

It's a bit of a disaster isn't it, an absolute nightmare for such a big club and it's fans. If it makes him feel better to state the bleedin obvious on here, that Arsenal have better players and play better football than Burnley, it's probably therapeutic for him, and I shouldn't really begrudge him that should I.

Well we've coped OK with United, City, Spurs twice and Southampton so far, so serial under-achievers like Arsenal aren't going to cause any loss of sleep.

Burnley have the worst goal difference in the division. Even QPR are scoring for fun. At least, they are keeping their end of the bargain in this league, which is to entertain.

Burnley won't be missed when they're gone. And you can rant all you want, that is the hard, cold fact.

Speaking of Wigan, look at them now. Couldn't happen to a nicer club... Think you can avoid the same fate next season in the Champ'ship?

I like Arsenal under Wenger, play attractive football generally, lots of pace and flair but they are playing for different objectives to us.
