Andre Gray's third minute equaliser from the penalty spot earned the Clarets a valuable point and extended their unbeaten run to eight games. 

   Gray scored his seventh Turf Moor goal in four outings in an explosive start to cancel out Bobby Zamora’s first minute opener. 

    And as a tight game wore on, the Clarets will feel they had the chances to finally end the Football League’s only remaining unbeaten record, with Scott Arfield twice coming agonisingly close. 

    German striker Rouwen Hennings replaced the injured Sam Vokes up front, with Dean Marney making the bench in a long awaited return from a knee injury. 

    And the game set off at a breakneck pace, with both sides on target in the opening three minutes.


   It was the visitors who took a shock lead after exactly 60 seconds. 

   Tom Heaton’s wonderful fingertip save tipped Tomer Hemed’s strike onto the crossbar, but Zamora reacted quickest at the far post to put the Seagulls in front. 

  However, that lead lasted just two minutes as Simon Hooper pointed to the spot after Michael Keane was clearly manhandled in the box by Lewis Dunk from David Jones’ corner.

Brighton still unbeaten this season. On paper, could be our toughest test so far this season.
Ive no idea what theyre like, ive not seen anything of them. Obviously hard to beat though.
Fingers crossed we'll be the first side to beat them.

I see Sky are putting a sofa in the Cricket Field stand for the away fans.
What is that shite all about.

They were shite,we were shite,the game was shite .. Dropping 2 points was shite ..

Shite or not that's about as good as we are, we've certainly played worse this season. Vokes was missed though, Henning is nowhere near good enough.

For those of us in the JH Upper and couldn't see the little plane droning overhead as the game ended it was pretty unnerving in light of all that has happened recently.

It came over once low, we all looked upwards. It faded away and then came back a second time and I'm damned sure I wasn't the only just a tad apprehensive and suspicious.

A curious game... whirlwind start... then the last 30 mins of the half tedious and sleep inducing... a good second half with a better Burnley, a toothless but well drilled brighton... and if we'd nicked the game it would have been deserved.

But I don't see the supposed potential that this side can get better, it is what it is, functional without flair. Nobody who can get to the byline consistently and whip balls across.

Was i the only one wondering if Kightly or Taylor would come on to shake things up a bit?

This team isn't as good as two years ago, probably still well enough organised, still difficult enough to score against, to make the play-offs, but I think top two is just a dream.

I never fancy Kightly's chances of getting a run out, but I was expecting Taylor anytime in the last 30 minutes, not sure why Sean decided against it. I'd still like to see Lowton and/or Ward given a chance, decent centres from Derek and Mee have become as rare as rocking horse shite.

Whilst we are all in a negative mood let me share my concern.

We may get promoted playing the way we do with only 40% possession. Once we play some proper teams in the Premier League we will get flogged and come straight back down if we allow them 60% possession.

Authors and their imaginations... although the 911 pilots did train on light aircraft and protecting 46 grounds simultaneously would be simply beyond the capabilities of the RAF (seriously) and to hunt Russian submarines now you have to contract it to the French to fly out of Lossiemouth. However even though nobody loves us, the only only ones who actually hate us surely wouldn't stoop that low, especially now they have a new manager.

Didn't see the game but what bothered me is that people (team members included) seemed pleased with a point. Against Brighton? At home? Are you kidding me? and we think we are PL quality? Are we getting complacent?

I agree with BC if only to shake things up a bit - it appears right now you can play poorly but not lose your place. We have a really strong squad so giving the likes of Lowton, Taylor, Ward, Marney, Freddie a start would not only not impact the quality of the team, but might shake us out of this complacency.
