Burnley 4 Derby 1
By Burnley FC
January 25 2016
The Clarets moved ominously up to third place in the Sky Bet Championship table with a thrilling 4-1 win over promotion rivals Derby County. A Richard Keogh own-goal on the half hour mark gave Burnley the lead before Jacob Butterfield's wonder strike immediately levelled the scoring.
|
Two quickfire penalties in the second half, converted by Andre Gray and Sam Vokes, then gave the Clarets a healthy lead, before Scott Arfield’s deflected effort completed the rout midway through the second half.

Missed the whole of the second half taking my daughter to the airport. I thought we were outplayed in the first half and lucky to go in level.
We were Soapy, second half was a far better effort indeed, two stonewall penalties made by Andre and a Shackell deflection For the other one, guess it was our lucky night..

Onwards and upwards! C'mon you Clarets.
Heard the pitter-patter on the roof at 4 am today - but we obviously need lots more statewide.

By the end we'd reduced them to a demoralised rabble. We're becoming relentless again.

To be fair MH was saying at half-time we'd win 3-1, he wasn't far off.
Just logic mate, Derby were phenomenal in the first half, no matter how good we were in the second half they were never gonna come close to repeating that first half
There for the taking.
