Saints March Into Turf For First Game

The Clarets face an opening-day repeat as they kick-off their 2019/20 Premier League campaign against Southampton at Turf Moor on Saturday, 10 August.

Last season saw Sean Dyche’s men start their domestic campaign away to the Saints where a 0-0 draw – between two legs of a Europa League tie against Istanbul Basaksehir – put a first point on the board. Burnley’s second home game is a mouth-watering fixture against Champions League winners Liverpool on the last weekend of August ahead of the first international break of the season. Before that, the Clarets go to Europa League competitors Arsenal and Wolves, with the trip to Molineux scheduled for Saturday, 24 August potentially moved back a day due to Wolves’ possible on-going European commitments. Burnley face Sheffield United for the first time since 2011 at Bramall Lane on Saturday, 2 November, while Premier League champions Manchester City are in town for a mid-week visit on Tuesday, 3 December before the Clarets head to Tottenham’s new home the following weekend.
