Deflected Pogba strike ends Clarets' home run as United hit top spot

 The Clarets suffered their first home defeat since October as Manchester United went to the top of the Premier League.

 Burnley saw their unbeaten four-match league run at Turf Moor ended by Paul Pogba’s deflected second-half strike as United extended their undefeated record away from home to 15 matches.

 A point would have been enough to take the visitors to the top of the pile for the first time at this stage of a season for eight years - the last time they won the championship.

 And in a battling finish from Burnley, that was almost what the visitors left with as Matej Vydra went close to denying them a clear advantage over Liverpool in the title race.

 But with the Clarets’ substitute just unable to conjure up another dramatic late strike, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side held on to slow the Clarets’ momentum following their recent surge up the table.

The lads worked hard throughout, kept United at bay for quite a time in the match, Cavani is a typical cheating Uruguayan rolling about like he had been shot and forever whingeing at the ref. They got lucky with a deflected goal, I reckon Popey would have had that, but it was always on the cards that United would score. Thought Pogba showed his class tonight.
Oh well onwards and upwards Wet Spam next.
