Matt Lowton stunner caps capital performance as Clarets turn on the style

 The Clarets have enjoyed some big results at Selhurst Park and this was another one as they kicked off an important week in stunning style.

 A win at Crystal Palace in 2017 virtually ensured Premier League survival and last season’s 1-0 success in June was a key stepping-stone towards a top-10 finish.

 This time, one of the Clarets’ best away wins and stand-out performances of the season brought Sean Dyche’s men a first victory in four league games and propelled them up to 15th-place in the table.

 It also lifted them 11 points clear of Fulham before the Londoners come to Turf Moor next Wednesday night in the first of two games against bottom-three opposition before West Bromwich Albion’s visit four days later.

 The Clarets had managed just five goals in their previous 11 away games as the lowest scorers in the division.

 But those short-comings – and the mid-week FA Cup exit to Bournemouth – were swiftly forgotten as goals from Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jay Rodriguez inside the first 10 minutes set the Clarets on their way.

Sounds as though Be Mee is OK but will probably mean he will be out for a couple of weeks, not sure if the bang on the head rule will apply..

The spread of goalscorers is for me the positive. Plus of course 3 invaluable points.

An enjoyable, relaxed and pleasing on the eye watch. The 2 early goals may have had some bearing on that.

Three more wins should do it.

Not a must but would be splendiforous shangy, adventurous play and a couple of goals advantage would be a joy.
