Kicking off a special squad number feature. Squad numbers were introduced for the first time in the 1999/2000 season and a generation of Clarets have since put their own special mark on a particular shirt.

I would go further and say Mee is the best central defender/leader we have ever had.

I'm possibly being bit unfair on him, but I always associate Chris McCann's departure with the beginning of our establishment as a top club once more. His replacement was David Jones, and he was key to our climb back to the top, with Jones in midfield we were a different beast altogether, and here we are today.
