Burnley were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Liverpool on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon at Turf Moor.

Manager Sean Dyche made one change from Tuesday’s home draw against Manchester United, as Aaron Lennon replaced Dwight McNeil in the starting line-up. A Fabinho opener five minutes before half-time sent the visitors in front, when he struck from close-range after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner. And despite Burnley having chances, it proved to be the decisive moment. First-half Jurgen Klopp’s Reds created the first chance of the contest inside 10 minutes. Mo Salah clipped a flighted ball from right to left for Andy Robertson to cross into the box for Salah at the back post, who shot off target.
