Maxwel Cornet’s late winner secured Burnley a vital 3-2 victory over Everton at Turf Moor on Wednesday night

Nathan Collins’ early goal had the Clarets ahead on 12 minutes before Richarlison’s penalty six-minutes later levelled the scores A second penalty was awarded to Everton in the opening half’s closing stages, with VAR ruling Aaron Lennon to have fouled Vitaliy Mykolenko. Burnley roared back to equalise through Jay Rodriguez’s 57th minute having been picked out by Charlie Taylor’s neat pass to get the Clarets back on terms. And Cornet sent the ground into delirium with his 86th minute goal, after Matej Vydra set him up. Manager Sean Dyche made three changes to his side’s starting line-up, as Collins, Rodriguez and Maxwel Cornet replaced Kevin Long, Jack Cork and Dwight McNeil. Wow that was some effort, bit of a scrappy game but the 3 points I will take, we are still in it lads, Canaries up next.

A memorable win for the clarets .he referee tried to ruin the chances of burnley by awarding two frivolous penalties .but the players were armed to fire three outstanding goals and wn this important match.Burnley will stay away from relegation this season .the players are awakened with wide open eyes and will march to safety

They certainly put us through the emotional ringer...Charlie & Tarks were awesome, but for me bringing Vydra on won us the game & not because he assisted for the winner; he gave the Everton defence something different to cope with.
Btw, is there only me of the regular posters that is still going on the turf ?

Since mum and dad both died I don't go very much at all now FL it is quite a trek for me now , I do have tickets for the Newcastle game though, my son and 3 grandsons are going with me, the lads do go more often which I am proud of especially them being brought up down here in Cambridgeshire.

A massive three points, but another must win game coming up on Sunday at Norwich. Win that and we could feasibly be out of the bottom three for the first time since last October.

I meant to put "within reasonable travelling distance". I knew you lived down in the fens somewhere.
I'm not being critical towards anyone, I only get on about a third of the games these days and I live within 2 miles of the turf.
If I lived in the fens I don't think I'd bother much either.

I stopped going on regularly 4/5 years ago and I don't miss it one little bit. I was going to go on for a Cup game earlier this season, but when I found out all the hoops I'd have to jump through to get a ticket, for a ground that wouldn't be even half full, I thought feck that for a game of soldiers, and stayed at home.
