Clarets fall short against the Villans Burnley suffered a 3-1 defeat at Turf Moor on Saturday, a first loss in five matches.

There was one change from the win at Watford last week, as Ashley Barnes came into Mike Jackson’s starting line-up, replacing Matej Vydra. Former Burnley striker Danny Ings opened the scoring early on before Emiliano Buendia struck a second for Steven Gerrard’s visitors just beyond the half-hour. Ollie Watkins headed in John McGinn’s cross seven minutes after half-time which extended Villa’s advantage. Maxwel Cornet was on target for the Clarets in added time, but it proved to be a consolation. To read the full match report please click on the link below; |

Indeed he did FC, 7/1 first goal scorer, and 3/1 anytime scorer, looked too good to miss, and mitigated the pain somewhat of a very ominous defeat.
