Points shared in St. Andrews draw as Clarets' unbeaten run continues Burnley were denied a third consecutive win in the Sky Bet Championship, after substitute Johann Berg Gudmundsson saw his second half strike cancelled out by Scott Hogan's equaliser for the Blues just moments later.

In a tight affair in Birmingham, Gudmundsson was introduced in the 70th minute and made an instant impact, after firing home just four minutes later, but City forward Hogan then levelled things up just five minutes after. Vincent Kompany made two changes from the side that beat Swansea on the weekend, with the injured defensive duo of Ian Maatsen and Jordon Beyer making way for Connor Roberts and Charlie Taylor. First Half The Clarets’ first effort on goal came with six minutes played, as Harwood-Bellis headed Roberts’ cross to the back-post just over the bar. City then came close themselves, as Trusty fired a header wide of Muric’s goal from Chong’s wide free kick. Burnley’s best opportunity in the lively start then fell to Rodriguez, who turned Brownhill’s cross onto the outside of the post, before being cleared from danger. Brum were defensively pretty good and snuffed out quite easily any chances we had to score more. All in all we got what we deserved with a point, we certainly did not deserve more.
Not a good watch at all.
Sunderland away next up, we need to press quicker going forward that 's for sure.
