Rodriguez penalty secures victory for Clarets Burnley returned to the top of the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday night, after a 1-0 win over Norwich City at Turf Moor extended the Clarets' unbeaten run to 14 consecutive matches.

Jay Rodriguez's 80th minute penalty proved to be the difference in a dominant performance from the home side. Vincent Kompany made four changes from the side that beat Sunderland 4-2 on the weekend, as Ian Maatsen, Jack Cork, Jordan Beyer, and Jay Rodriguez returned to the side. I couldn't work out as to why Zaroury saw far less of the ball after Aarons was booked.
I've been a big fan of JB but he doesn't seem to be quite what he was, perhaps Benson might have been a better option to have started the game.

FL, my belief is that they are not all fitting into the style that VK is asking them to do. Beyer I thought was passing too much sideways and back, if whoever you are passing the ball to doesn't control it the opposition is on us then panic sets in, prime example is Muric when he is playing it across the box, Benson for me should start he panics defences, JBG does ok but not the same impact Benson has.Taylor should always start too imo, Zaroury flits in and out, does some great work then some not so good bit greedy at times does not always look for someone in a better position.

Agreed with most of your observations, Fc.
Zaroury has shown a selfish side,but, was he selfish when he scored at Sunderland ?
He went for a similar one v Norwich and I thought 'why the hell not'?
Yes,he does have a tendency of choosing the wrong option sometimes & over dribbles but again, I would say 'why not'? he has it in his locker. have we had a winger that never chose the wrong option?
As for him flitting in & out; Well, if he is given the ball he's in...after terrorising Aarons into a booking there were numerous occasions where he was in plenty of space on the wing but the ball was not forthcoming.
Beyer I think is still feeling his way in & being a little cautious although he has brought the ball into midfield on occasions.
If the players in front of him are not making runs into space he will pass the buck & give it to Bellis.
I'd say he's more like a Ben Mee than a Beckenbauer.
As for Benson; after he got clattered a few times in his first few games I thought he looked far too weak & scared & not up for the challenge & we wouldn't be seeing much of him for the rest of the season.
What the hell do I know?
Qne or two don't look all that comfortable with this new style. Taylor was fantastic at left back playing the Dycheball style but not sure if he would be comfortable at LB with the VK style of play. He's certainly not at home at CB.
