Late Obafemi equaliser sees points shared
|
Michael Obafemi’s dramatic 95th minute equaliser extended Burnley’s unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship to 11 matches following a 1-1 draw with Watford at Turf Moor. Joao Pedro opened the scoring in the first half before substitute Obafemi fired in from close range deep into stoppage time to pull the scores level. Manager Vincent Kompany named an unchanged XI from the side that beat Preston North End 3-0 on the weekend, with just Al-Dakhil replacing Charlie Taylor on the bench. We had a few players not quite on it. Watford were rough & tough which we expected but we probably would have just deserved a win.
We probably shouldn't be too concerned with Middlesbro beating Sheff U last night but It's got me feeling just a little uneasy.
Our main CB's out & 2 tough away games on the trot, only 6 more games at home & 9 away with one of them at Middlesbro.

"But with Watford’s first effort on goal against the run of play the visitors had their opener, as Pedro picked out the back of the net with a close-range strike."
That hardly tells the full story does it.
