Gareth Farrelly has had his loan spell cut at Burnley cut short today. The 28 year old midfielder was halfway through his third month at the club.
Things started well enough for Farrelly, who arrived at the same time as fellow Bolton loanee Delroy Facey, who's first game for Burnley came in the victory over Stoke back in the early part of September.
Farrelly was a regular fixture in the midfield until he injured himself at Watford at the end of September. He returned to the side that got hammered at Ipswich before dropping to the bench for game against West Ham. He continued to make substitute appearances until last week at Sheffield United when he started his first game for a month and Farrelly kept his place at Derby before being sent back to Bolton.
He'll leave Turf Moor with 11 league appearances as well as 2 in the Carling Cup. He didn't score a goal and was booked twice during the spell.
Delroy Facey, who arrived with Farrelly, will not be returning to Bolton just yet.
