Rotherham Not in Admin

Its been a strange day for Rotherham United with various tabloids claiming the club were going into administration. This doesn't appear to be the case though with the club releasing an official statement this afternoon.

Rotherham United chief executive Phil Henson has come out to dispel fears the club are due to go into administration. There have been numerous reports from certain sections of the media which suggested The Millers were in danger of going into administration due to reporting losses of just under £750,000 for the last financial year.

Henson attempted to ease fears of Rotherham fans by saying the club has no debts and is in safe hands with Ken Booth's CF Booth Ltd.

Henson told the club's website: "The chairman, Ken Booth, is fully committed to the club for the immediate future and his company will continue to underwrite the overdraft as they have done since 1987 so nothing has changed.

"Rotherham United have no debts."
