Tottenham midfielder Jonathan Blondel has today dismissed rumours of coming to Burnley. The played had reportedly been lined up to come to Turf Moor on loan once he had recovered from his knee injury.
The Belgian midfielder was linked with a move to the the Turf earlier on in the week. Neither club commentated on the speculation however Blondel has spoken to a Belgium Newspaper about the proposed move. He has basically dismissed the move, even though he's not getting first team football at Spurs, and said that he'd rather stay at Spurs or move back to Belgium.
Blondel, who has been capped by Belgium, had this to say about the proposed move.
"If I leave the club, it will be for a Belgian or French Premier League side,"
"If that's impossible, I will stay at Tottenham."
David Pleat is keen for the player to get some first team experience away from North London, as he has only featured in a couple of games since arriving in the summer of 2002.
