Murphy Arrives for Trial

Burnley have given a trial to a highly rated forward from the Republic of Ireland. The player is a leading goalscorer in the Republic and has been given a chance to shine at the Turf.

The forward's name is Alan Murphy and he currently plays for Galway United. The 22-year-old is highly thought of in Ireland and was the leading scorer in the 1st Division last season. He has continued his goalscoring form this season having hit the net 21 times in the current campaign.

It seems a strange situation at Burnley that the club continue to give trials to player's when fans are being told that there is no money in the pot and the club are on the verge of administration.
