Youths Beaten

The Youth Team suffered their third consecutive defeat at the weekend. They lost 3-1 at Oldham and the result was a very poor one considering the side that Oldham put out.
The Burnley lads had beaten Oldham 6-0 at Gawthorpe but it was a different story on Saturday. Oldham fielded their Under 17s team in this Under 19s fixture so that meant that every player outfield player for the Latics was a first year scholar.
Burnley's sole goal came from a Rhys Carpenter penalty with Chris Hall, Matt Barlow and Kelvin Lomax scoring for Oldham.
Former Claret Tony Philliskirk was very happy with how his Oldham side performed and said that they were 'exceptional'.
The lads from Burnley will travel to the seaside on Saturday, to play Blackpool, looking for their first win since they beat Oldham at the start of December.
