Here we take a look at what both camps said in the post-match press conferences. Unsurprisingly Stan was delighted, but equally angry at the referee.!

Post-match reaction:

Stan was undeniably happy with his side's progression through to the FA Cup 5th round. "I'm delighted to be through and in the hat...I thought they deserved it and we scored three top quality goals." The FA Cup has been generous to us in the last couple of seasons and we can only hope we get a money-spinning draw to help us avoid any problems come what May. "From a personal point of view, I'd like a winnable tie at home, but from the club's perspective, a draw which would ease the purse strings would be nice."

Stan was also not happy with Referee Laws, who had a torrid game trying to control Gillingham aggression. "I asked the referee a civil question about why he didn't book Hills first....He accused me of embarrassing him and banished me from the line...It's a ridiculous state of affairs."

Gillingham captain Paul Smith was unsurprisingly disappointed by his teams defeat. "We started lively but we lost our shape during a 10 minute spell and found ourselves two down and chasing the game." "It's a shame we're out of the FA cup but it's over now... still we come back to Burnley in two weeks time and hopefully it will be a totally different game."

Let's hope not!
