The FA Cup 5th round draw was made in London yesterday and David Platt did us no favours in picking out a plum financial tie or a home match. Read:

Burnley have been handed an average draw for the FA Cup 5th round. Our ball, number 10 was drawn out by David Platt and we neither got a home tie or a guaranteed big money away game. In fact we may not get on television either, all this means the clarets may have to go over another hurdle, to get to our second consecutive Quarter-Final for some much needed "dough." But should Burnley win it should see some much needed prize money being pumped in to the coffers. Telford play Millwall a week today, after their game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. All being well we should play the winners on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of February. However, should this delayed match end up in a draw, the reply is likely to take place on the 5th round weekend and push our game to the following Tuesday the 17th. Stan was obviously disappointed but said "we are just happy to be in the hat...we are disappointed not to have been drawn at home and we're disappointed not to have drawn a big club, but we're still happy to be in the 5th round of FA Cup."
