The coach that guided Ternent dies...

The BBC have today announced that legendary Sunderland Manager Bob Stokoe has died aged 73. The manager led Sunderland to a famous FA Cup victory in 1973 over Don Revie's Leeds United.

This cup victory was the first time a Second Division side had won for 40 years and in 1976 Stokoe took Sunderland to the top flight of English football.

Our manager Stan Ternent has said in his autobiography that Stokoe was one of the men who spotted his potential to be a coach, when Stan was in the North East.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Bob Stokoe today. The man who did so much for Sunderland and our manager alike.
