Burnley Reserves 2 - 4 Huddersfield Reserves

Ronnie Jepson's reserves crashed to their 11th defeat of the season at home to Huddersfield last night. The result leaves the clarets bottom of the table and facing a near impossible task to stay up.

Two goals from Luke Chadwick were not enough as Burnley's defensive frailties transferred from the first team to the reserves.

Burnley went 2-0 down, but managed to get it back to 2-2 by half time. But in the second half and with a penalty opportunity dismissed by the ref, it was Huddersfield who scored against the run of play and then sealed the points.

The defeat means the clarets, who nearly won this league two year a go will struggle to survive at this level of reserve football next year. Let's hope this is the only Burnley team relegated.

Huddersfield: Phil Senior, Aaron Hardy, Rob Edwards, John McCombe (Tyrone Thompson 45), Paul Scott, Ian Hughes, Lee Simms, Dwayne Mattis, James McAliskey (Joe Shaw 67), Matthew Young (James Hand 87), Adam Nelson. Subs not used: Jacob Giles.
