The reserve team have been relegated this evening. The team could only manage a draw with Preston North End and this means they will not be playing in the Premier Division next season.
The match finished 2-2 with Burnley leading until North End got a late goal to send us down. The current injury situation affecting the first team squad meant that we had to field a younger looking side than usual.
Fola Onibuje, on trial, opened the scoring shortly before half time when he rose above the defenders to head home. North End levelled after half time when Aaron McConville beat two mean before shooting past Hale. Ryhs Carpernter restored our lead however it wasn't enough as Jackson scored from a free kick to send us down.
