Reserves lose again

The reserve team crashed to another defeat this afternoon. Tranmere Rovers were the latest team to collect 3 points of the side after they came from behind to win the game 2-1.

The defeat was our 14th of the season and this means we will now finish bottom of the Pontin's Premier Division. The victory for Tranmere means they have finished the season well but are waiting on results from Stoke and Walsall to see whether they have clinched the title or not.

Burnley played a young side in the match and took the lead early on when Ryan Townsend headed home a corner. They held the lead until the 60th minute when Dickinson levelled for Tranmere before they took the lead shortly afterwards when Brown wrong footed Hale to send the visitors 2-1 in front.

Both sides had chances after the goal but Burnley were unable to break Tranmere down. Some of the side will now be sweating on their futures and the news of a Stan Ternent leaving may present some with an opportunity they didn't expect.
