Everton game arranged

Burnley will take on Everton in a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor. The fixture is due to take place on the 22nd July and will be the first meeting between the sides since the pre-season game back in 2001.

It was only the other day that Steve Cotterill announced that he had rung all the local Premiership clubs about the possiblity of having a game against them before August and David Moyes was the first manager to respond to Burnleys request.

The game should attract a decent crowd and it will be the first chance for most Burnley fans to see young superstar Wayne Rooney in the flesh.
