Burnley have now appointed Dave Kevan as the new assistant manager of the club. Former Burnley player Mark Yates makes a return to the club as the new first team coach.
Kevan will be an unknown name to most Burnley fans but he has worked with Steve Cotterill before. The two were together at Stoke, for the short reign of Coterill, but when Cotterill left for the Stadium of Light he left Kevan behind.
Kevan continued in his role as the assistant manager of Stoke under Tony Pulis for the remainder of the season before working with the Resever and Youth teams at Stoke.
Yates will be more well known to CLarets fans although he didn't start many games for the club but he was a regular on the bench for Jimmy Mullen in our 4th Division Championship season but left the club shortly afterwards.
These two appointments come on top of the news that Andy Mitchell will be the new physio at the club. Mitchell worked with Cotterill at Cheltenham before beginning a Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Leeds University. He is due to complete his masters in September and this appointment is pleasing for Mitchell who was looking to get back into football.
Good luck to you all.
