Davis speaks at York Event - Tonight!

A representative from York City Supporter's Group has placed on our messageboard information about an event happening tonight involving former claret Steve Davis (Mk II). We place his whole message below, so more people can see it. It could very well be a good night out.

"Dear all,

If any of you are in North Yorkshire this evening or indeed fancy travelling across, you are all more than welcome to attend the latest meeting of York City Supporters Club branch - Harrogate Minstermen.

The next branch meeting of Harrogate Minstermen will take place on Monday 12th July. The evening will be held at the Knaresborough Working Men's Club. Doors will open from 7pm with the meeting commencing from 8pm. The evening will take the focus of our Membership Recruitment drive. Membership applications will be accepted for the 2004/2005 season. We are hoping for a high turnout of support on the evening to get our membership recruitment up and running. This season will see a huge emphasis on membership with a series of benefits compared to non-members.

The evening will see 'Open the Box' take place as well as bookings for our opening month of fixtures.

We are pleased to announce that we will also have a special guest in attendance who will be taking part in a 'Fans Forum'. Chris Brass has promised to send one of his summer recruits along on the evening to take the opportunity to meet the supporters and get a feel for the passion at York City FC and amongst the Harrogate Minstermen.

Our special guest has now been confirmed as experienced former Burnley, Luton Town and Blackpool defender Steve Davis."
