Frank Sinclair joins the clarets!

Frank Sinclair has become Steve Cotterill's fifth signing as he penned a one year contract with the clarets this afternoon. Sinclair (32) played 14 games in the Premiership last season, and is very experienced.

Frank Sinclair may be known from the now infamous La Manga incident, he may be the man who has scored plenty of own goals in his time, but his experience at the highest level of football will be an asset to Steve Cotterill's claret and blue army.

Sinclair had been training with Martin Allen's Brentford, but Allen admitted that any move of Sinclair himself would depend on whether Sinclairs other options fell through - we now know they did not!

Sinclair may play tonight against Everton, and should partner McGreal in central defence. It will certainly be a game worth seeing and we will have more reaction when it comes.

Editorial:

"The signing of Frank Sinclair marks the continued rebuild of the Burnley defence. Steve Cotterill has shown he has links in football and this must be commended. Now all we need is a couple of wingers, a tall striker and maybe some loans and we will have a small squad. So not much more work to do then!!"
