Bumper Crowd Expected

Sheffield United are the visitors to Turf Moor for the opening game of the season this Saturday. The arrival of Steve Cotterill along with 5 new players has meant a healthy sale of seats for the game.

The Blades, who have also bought a number of players in the Summer, look as though they will fill the away end after Burnley Football Club released the final 1,000 tickets that the 4,000 Cricket Field Stand can hold.

A couple of our new signings have been selected for some forthcoming International matches with Danny Coyne in the Wales squad for their friendly in Latvia on August 18th. Michael Duff is on standby for the Northern Ireland squad for their match against Switzerland in Zurich on the same night.

Richard Chaplow has been called up for an Under 20's training camp at Champneys Springs after our match at Watford on the 14th August. He will return to Turf Moor in time for the testimonial for Stan Ternent.
