Bury 2 Burnley 3

The Clarets had to come from behind twice in order to secure our place in the next round. An own goal and two Robbie Blake goals were eventually enough to see of Bury.

Steve Cotterill named the same 11 players that have started in every game so far so the team lined up roughly as follows:

Coyne

Duff McGreal Sinclair Camara

Moore Chaplow Grant Hyde Branch

Blake

Burnley had a poor start and failed to deal with a set piece when Nugent headed into the net to give the Shakers the lead. A Robbie Blake corner was converted into his own net by Dwayne Mattis to level the scores before Dave Challinor put Bury back in front with a cracking header.

The Clarets were awarded a penalty when Mo Camara was brought down in the box. Blake sent the keeper the wrong way to level the scores for the second time. Camara was again involved in our winning goal when his run down the left and deep cross was taken beautifully by Robbie Blake.
