Roche out for a month

The hamstring injury that Lee Roche picked up at Wigan could be worse than what was first feared. He will definitely miss the trip to Leicester on Saturday.

It is bad news for both Burnley and Roche as the fullback had just got back into the team following the suspension to Micah Hyde. He played on the right wing against Crewe and started in that position against Wigan before being moved into a reshuffled back five to counter the attacking threat posed by Wigan.

The 23 year old would have started on Saturday but Steve Cotterill will have to make a change and is disappointed with the news and had this to say "We might not know the full extent of Lee's injury until early next week, but he could well be out for a month, which is a massive blow."

The football club are still waiting to get international clearance, from the Italian FA, for midfielder Amadou Sanokho. If this arrives in time then it will almost certainly mean that Roche's replacement will be either Sanokho or Valois.
