The Clarets kept a third successive clean sheet at the Walkers Stadium yesterday. The result means we have only conceded one goal in our 5 away matches so far.

Steve Cotterill was forced to make one change fromt he side that drew at Wigan with Jean-Louis Valois replacing the injured Lee Roche. The side lined up roughly as follows:-

The opening half was pretty dour stuff with David Connolly having the best chance for Leicester but he hit the side netting. Burnley began the second half stronger and were the better team during this period. Jordon Stewart was sent off for Leicester just after 70 minutes when he kicked Ian Moore on the halfway line. We nearly scored shortly afterwards when Dion Dublin chested a ball back to Kevin Pressman who made a hash of it. The Burnley players appealed for a goal but were waved away by the referee.

Steve Cotterill was pleased with the point and had this to say after the game

"I'm delighted with the point, We've had two tough away games and I'm delighted with the two points we've picked up. We could've taken all three points because in the second half we had the better chances and more of them."

"Jean Louis said the ball was over the line," Cotterill remarked over the Dublin incident "So we could have won it. It was important we kept them quiet in the first half, because it could have been tricky with them coming here on the back of two wins. They could have been on for nine out of nine this week."

"They won the game against Sheffield United in the first 20 minutes, so it was vital we kept them out. But we've got a good result against a good club and I'm going to have a beer with Micky, Dave Bassett, Peter Shirtliff and Alan Cork now."
