Burnley drew 0-0 with Reading earlier today.

Burnley drew away earlier today with a 0-0 draw to Reading. The game kicked off at 3:00pm and the main man of the game was always going to be Glen Little. After 7 years of playing for Burnley he moved to Reading in the summer.

The Clarets managed to pickup another point away from home against solid opposition- top of the league Reading. Burnley spoilt Reading's 100% home record at the Madejski, and their 3 goals a game ratio. The team lined up roughly as follows:

The Clarets created a number of chances in the match to win the game but also had the odd scare to survive particularly when Reading had a goal disallowed for offside. Ian Moore saw his deflected cross nearly win the game for Burnley in injury time but it was not to be.

Steve Cotterill was delighted with the result and had this to say....

"I thought the lads were terrific today, We defended well as a unit, right from Robbie Blake and we showed the right level of commitment in everything we did. This club is in transition at the moment and we need to start somewhere and that was another good point for us."

"Reading are a very good side and they have some great players, but I thought we matched them throughout and we could have even got a goal at the end. I think we had three good chances in the second half and if we could have had a few chances earlier on in the game, we could have got a goal."
