Ipswich Preview

Burnley are back in league action tomorrow after a 2 week absence due to the break for International matches. Its another tough match for the Clarets with a trip to 2nd placed Ipswich.

Ipswich have started the season well and have 24 points from their first 12 matches. This form means that only Wigan are above them in the table and that is on goal difference. Ipswich are the leading goalscorers in the division with 24 but Burnley do have the meanest defence with just 7 conceded and only 1 of those has come on our away trips. Our last 3 away games have been 0-0 so something has to give tomorrow.

Portman Road was a bad ground for us last season with the Clarets losing 6-1 after being 5 nil down by half time. The previous season saw Burnley pick up a point when Dimi Papadopoulos got an injury time goal to give us a share of the points.

Steve Cotterill should have a full squad to choose from with Lee Roche now back in training following his hamstring injury. On loan defender Richard Duffy is likely to stay on the bench and the only change that Cotterill may decide to make, from the side that drew at Reading, is bring Tony Grant back into the side at the expense of Micah Hyde.

Ipswich have a couple of injury worries ahead of the game with Darren Bent and Jason De Vos expected to miss the game. Regular keeper Kelvin Davis is also rated as doubtful.
