Duffy Returns

Richard Duffy has gone back to Portsmouth today at the end of a successful 2 month loan spell at Turf Moor. Steve Cotterill had tried to extend his loan for a further month but his request was turned down by Portsmouth.

Duffy featured in 9 games for the Clarets during his time here and his most memorable moment came at Elland Road earlier this month when he scored the winner. He is an extremely versatile player and was asked to play on the right and the left wing in some games due to the injury crisis that Burnley have had over the past few weeks. Steve Cotterill had this to say about Duffy.... "I'd like to thank Richard for his contribution to Burnley Football Club over the last two months.
