Loan extended for Cahill

Gary Cahill will be at Turf Moor for at least another month after Steve Cotterill managed to extend his current loan deal.

The 18-year-old has had a good start to his footballing career with 3 clean sheets in the 4 games he has played so far. Steve Cotterill has spoken very highly of the Aston Villa defender and did say that he would like to keep him here for the rest of the season.

"He's been terrific, for a young lad to come in and settle so quickly," remarked Cotterill, "The lads in the dressing room already helped him settle in too and he already knew Richard Chaplow from his time with England".
