Burnley travel to Home Park tomorrow in search of a 4th straight win. We've had a couple of memorable games against Plymouth in recent times and their supporters recently ranked us their Top 3 biggest rivals.

The side will be boosted with the return of one player from injury although Steve Cotterill has not revealed who will be fit we expect the player to be Micah Hyde, John McGreal or Jean Louis Valois. The fit player may only start from the bench though as the eleven that beat Millwall and Brighton are all fit. Plymouth have no injury or suspension problems and are expected to start with the side that lost at Leicester last Saturday. The team was....... Plymouth's form isn't very good with the side registering just one victory in the last seven league fixtures. The home form of Argyle has also been weak with side not winning any of the last four home matches. Burnley are in great form at the moment and the victory over Millwall was the 3rd consecutive 1-0 victory. The Clarets have also won our last two away matches at Leeds and Brighton. | |||||

Well where do we start? Our last competitve game was back in May 1998 in the final match of the season. The two sides occupied the final two relegation places with Brentford still catchable for both teams. Burnley sent Plymouth down that day courtesy of two Andy Cookes goals and managed to stay up as Bristol Rovers beat Brentford. The one other game that is remembered between these two sides was the play-off matches back in 1994. The Clarets had finished 12 points behind Argyle in the league and only drew the first leg 0-0 at Turf Moor. Burnley had only won 4 fixtures on the road that season and nobody outside of the town gave the Clarets a chance. Argyle took the lead and looked set to book their place at Wembley before a John Francis brace in a matter on minutes changed the game before Warren Joyce made sure of the result in the 2nd half. As we all know Burnley then beat Stockport in the Final to win promotion. | |||||

Burnley fans have been allocated 1172 tickets for the game tomorrow and we believe that any fans who haven't already bought tickets will be able to buy them at the ground tomorrow.
