Blake Bid Turned Down

Burnley have today turned down a third bid for captain Robbie Blake. The club received bids of £500,000 and £600,000 and both of these bids were turned down.

A third bid of £700,000 has been received but this has also been turned down. This is the press release that the club sent us this morning.....

Burnley have turned down another bid for skipper Robbie Blake from Wigan Athletic.

The JJB Stadium side this time offered a fee of £700,000 for the 28-year-old, having previously seen offers of £500,000 and £600,000 knocked back.

Speaking about the latest offer, Chief Executive Dave Edmundson said: "We have had another offer for Robbie, which myself and the Chairman have spoken about.

"We have again decided to turn it down."
