Duo to Sign?

Two new players are expected to sign for Burnley from the same club very soon in an effort to improve the squad after the departures of Blake and Chaplow.

Across all of the Burnley message boards, rumours have been flying since Cotterill announced the news yesterday but with Hulse joining Leeds, the popular Hulse and O'Connor rumour won't materialise.

Kilby and the other club's chairman were in talks yesterday and if all went well, there is a chance of the deal happening today.

Cotterill has ruled out a "quick-fix" and admits the money from the transfers of Blake and Chaplow will help him acquire the right players as well as wisely spending the money.

On who the transfer targets may be, Cotterill said:

"I don't want to talk about the club and I don't want to talk about the players because if it doesn't happen before the weekend and they end up playing for their club, then they have to do the best for their club at the weekend."
