The mystery duo were from Plymouth

Burnley manager Steve Cotterill admitted failure in his bid to bring the mystery duo to Turf Moor. Cotterill acknowledged that David Friio who yesterday went to Nottingham Forest and Paul Wotton who has just signed a new contract with Plymouth were the two.

However he announced the search would go on.
