Italian kit manufacturer Errea has won the contract to produce the Burnley FC kit range for the next two seasons.

The Parma based company already has a number of British based clubs as part of its portfolio and the capture of Burnley is viewed as a significant move forward.

The kit deal encompasses both the 2005/06 and the 2006/07 seasons and both parties are looking to create a much wider range of leisurewear as well as the primary role of kit suppliers.

Speaking on behalf of Errea, Export Manager Fabrizio Taddei expanded on their plans: "We are proud to be associated with an historical club such as Burnley FC, their distinctive brand and large support base gives us a unique opportunity to develop many exciting products for the club's fans.

"We would like to establish an ongoing partnership that is not just about kits and shirts, but a total leisurewear package for the club designed and created and developed together with the retail department of Burnley FC.

"We are very happy to work again with Steve Cotterill, we were together during his successful spell at Cheltenham Town FC and we hope we can be successful again with Burnley FC."

His words were echoed by Burnley FC Chief Executive Dave Edmundson: "Yes, we were very happy to agree this deal with Errea and I am sure we will enjoy this Anglo-Italian partnership."

The new kit is released on Friday 29th April 2005. And wil be available from the beginning of June.
