Another Stoke Player set for Turf Moor?

It looks as though Steve Cotterill is about to add yet another Stoke City player to the playing squad at Burnley. Gifton Noel Williams is the latest out of contract player at the Brittania to be offered a contract at Turf Moor.

The players agent, Gary Mellor, had this to say

"We had a very productive meeting with Burnley"

"We have discussed terms with Steve Cotterill,though nothing has been finalised yet"

"There is a 12 month deal on the table from Stoke,which,to be frank, is insulting for a player with 80-odd games under his belt over the past 2 seasons

"There has been interest from other clubs and that's not surprising when you consider his playing record in his 2 years at Stoke - and his scoring run in the past few months of last season"

Williams scored 13 goals from 41 games for Stoke last season and could well be set to renew his partnership with Akinbiyi at Burnley. He ended the season in a rich vein of form scoring 9 goals in his last 16 games.
