Steve Cotterill has confirmed that the club will play 5 matches before the next campaign in the Championship gets underway in August.

The first game will take place at Cheltenham, on July 16th, after the game was made as part of the deal to bring Michael Duff to Turf Moor last Summer. Four days later the Clarets travel down the road to Accrington Stanley for the Wednesday evening fixture.

Burnley then play their only home fixture, on Saturday 20th July, in pre-season when La Liga side Malaga travel to Turf Moor. The squad will then fly out to Austria on the Sunday for their final preparations and will play two games during the week that they will be out there.

Clarets boss Steve Cotterill said: "We pretty much had the pre-season games sorted before the season ended. Five games is just enough and I certainly wouldn't want more because I haven't really got enough players to play any more."

The fixtures for next season are out this Thursday and will be available via the clubs official website.
