Shelton No Go

Luton Shelton has been refused a work permit by the Home Office. It is a major setback for Steve Cotterill who has spent a lot of time trying to sign Shelton after bringing him over from Jamaica.
It is the second time this month that the Clarets have been unable to make a signing due to the player missing out on a work permit.
Shelton had agreed a one-year-deal with the club and the details were expected to be announced today after the permit had been granted. Sadly this hasn't happened and it will mean that Cotterill now has until Wednesday to bring in another striker to strengthen the squad.
