Claret Fans Dream comes true

Christian is an 11 year old Goalkeeper from North Yorkshire and a Clarets Fan. Recently his dream of signing for the Clarets came true.....

It has come to our attention here at The Longside that whilst we were wondering about loaning a new keeper recently back in October we actually signed one on!

Christian Paulat-Brigg is an 11 year old Goalkeeper from North Yorkshire. He attends South Craven School in Keighley and has previously played for Sutton and Bingley Juniors.

Christian has been on trial at Burnley before and was unsuccessful, he then tried Bradford City and was turned down, but recently another one of our coaches went to see him play and it was third time lucky.

Christian said recently "I was disappointed that I didn't make it before but I feel chuffed. It was a different coach who came from Burnley the second time."

As the photo below shows, he is certainly goalkeeper material! We could be forgiven for imagining a young Brian Jensen being similar.

This is surely a dream come true for the Burnley supporting lad, and we wish him every success in the years to come.
