MATCH OFFICIALS

Mr Messias was referee for the away trip down to Watford earlier this season, that ended up in a 3-1 defeat, although Watford's third came while our keeper was down on the floor injured. He also gave a very debatable penalty in favour of Akinbiyi. Turfite and Tranzic were very pleased with his performance on that occasion (!) and I am sure they cannot wait for him to take charge on Saturday! Last season he took charge of our 1-0 home win over Nottingham Forest at Turf Moor and on that occasion put in a much better performance.

LONGSIDE PREVIEW

Well with two weeks off as fans we are all raring to go! Let's hope the boys are too! Our form has been somewhat eratic, isn't always(!), but the win against Luton is something we will never forget. The break is the usual will we, won't we but it's plain to see what SC wants. 3 Points in any way is acceptable but let's put in a performance to show we are serious top 10 contenders

We all remember the ref (see above) but he has had a better time of late so hopefully the football of both teams will be remebered not the ref!

As regards the team news we expect Courtney to continue at right back and Lowe to slot into Sinclairs space. Debate is still on about 4-5-1 against 4-4-2 especially at home, but 4-5-1 will be stuck to. Nathan Dyer fresh from under 20 international duty in midweek will be on the bench and we'd all like to see him torment on the right again.

Of course the big talking point has been the loss of Beast and we welcome Grant into the team, hopefully the lack of time won't affect the understanding.
