LONGSIDE PREVIEW

So for the first time since 1978 we play Southampton! 27 Years in the top flight, a brand new 30,000+ stadium and a Rivals Manager smash and grab, and they still ended up in the Coca Cola Championship.

Quite often we would be looking at past history but realistically history doesn't mean anything to this game! The last two games we played each other, one ended with 6 goals and the other with 3, this seasons form from both teams means this is almost guaranteed not to be the case!

So let's look at our team selection this weekend. We know that Michael Duff is out suspended following his fifth yellow of the season, we also know that Dyer will not be allowed to play as he is on loan from Saints of course. With two places up for grabs it is widely expected SC will place Sinclair at right back and Lowe in the Centre with McGreal (as far as we know John is ok to play). It is also expected we will see Elliott take Dyers place and start against his home team. (Shall we mention the last time Wade had been out for two games he came back and scored two in his first!)

Southampton are finding life hard, 12 draws already and an amazing 4-3 defeat at home to Leeds, 12th position and 4 points of us in joint 6th. As for above us, Luton have Reading so a win at Saints will certainly give us a good chance of moving subject to what Cardiff do!

Those of you making the 500 mile round trip, stay safe, and show the Saints what true passionate fans are all about.
