The Preview Team this week is Rose & Crown and Tranzic
After two very tough away games we are back home on Saturday. 1 Point from Southampton was ok, but the score and performance at Sheff U last week was not good! As Steve Cotterill said this week, optimism is still in the air and one thing Burnley don't do very often is lose two on the bounce! So we welcome, and I use the term loosely, a Watford side currently lying third in the table. This is the return fixture of the debacle in August which saw us go down 3-1 after Watford scored their third by playing on when Jensen went down in a heap with a serious neck injury. It left a sour taste in the mouth and I'm sure the Burnley players will be up for revenge in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd. Tickets for the fixture are discounted to £10 for adults and £5 for children, a welcome gesture from the club, considering what is going to be an expensive Christmas period for football fans. Burnley welcome back John Harley from suspension, although there will be no Keith Lowe who has now returned to Wolves following the end of his loan spell. Danny Coyne and Wayne Thomas are still long term absentees, although Thommo is closer to a return than Coyne who has now started his rehabilitation. Watford could be seen as in a false position! They haven't got the best record at present, but 10 games unbeaten can't be sniffed at! Last week they drew (again) 1-1 that was with a defender playing up front. It is also a special day for the website, as there will be an on the pitch presentation from Clarets physio Claire Judd following the deal which saw Claire's kit sponsored for the season. So keep an eye out for message board posters Turfmanphil, Tranzic, Claret Andy and Bev on the hallowed Turf. More information on the sponsors day can be found on the website. Let's also hope the Clarets take a handy three points into the Christmas period. UP THE CLARETS Make sure you get your predictions in on | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
