Kyle Lafferty Has Signed His First Pro Contract

Some great news today with the first of our current batch of youngsters agreeing a professional contract. Burnley's Official Press Statement reads.......

Lafferty Signs Deal

The 18-year-old has agreed a deal which runs until the summer of 2008, after making his first team debut earlier this season.
The Northern Ireland Under 19 international was in the second year of his apprenticeship at Turf Moor and made his first team debut as a substitute in the opening game of the season at Crewe Alexandra after spending pre-season with the first team squad.
The Belfast born player has since made a further four appearances from the bench this season in both the Championship and the Carling Cup.
Speaking about the news, manager Steve Cotterill said: "He's been in and around the first team this season and we've looked to give him a professional contract."
"We're happy that he's signed that and that he can be part of the squad moving forward."
